About The Gallery

About the GalleryFeaturing the photography of Nobushi Fuji’i and showcasing works by selected Vermont artists and artisans, the cozy building next to the Vermont Country Store offers a place for visitors to savor fine art as well as to socialize. The main display is devoted to Nobushi’s Exquisite Vermont images, an ongoing work-in-progress, designed to bring a Japanese aesthetic to Vermont’s landscape and capture its beauty from a fresh perspective.

In addition, the gallery displays the work of other area artists and artisans, including ceramists, weavers, woodworkers and jewelry makers. Going forward, the Fuji’s plan to host shows and demonstrations to introduce new artists and educate people about the techniques and concepts behind the finished work they see.

Committed to making the gallery an integral part of Weston community life, the Fuji’is host the Weston Film Club, dedicated to monthly viewings and discussions of acclaimed foreign and independent films. The gallery is also hosts a book club and other community gatherings.

At the Village Green Gallery, visitors to Weston and residents alike can find a comfortable chair to relax in, check their e-mail via wireless high-speed internet, sip a cup of specialty coffee by Mocha Joe’s of Brattleboro, and enjoy fine pastries made by local chef, Christina LaRue.

Come visit the next time you’re in Vermont and experience this wonderful art-filled and community centered gathering place.
